Springer Nature donates to support recovery efforts following the Kumamoto earthquake in Japan

7 August 2026

London | Berlin | Tokyo, August 7, 2026

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to those who have been impacted by the Kumamoto earthquake in southern Japan that struck the region on July 28, 2026.

Springer Nature has made a donation of €15,000 (approximately 2.7 million Japanese yen) to Kumamoto Prefecture, to support recovery and reconstruction efforts following the Kumamoto earthquake.

We sincerely hope that the affected areas will be able to recover and those affected can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.
